Our identity
What is Oblate Youth?
A Catholic community of young people gathered around the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate.
In our daily lives, we strive to develop and grow our human dignity and the dignity of others, to become Christians and disciples of Christ, and finally, saints by our way of life.
Oblate Youth is the young people's response to the Oblate mission and charism. It is a call to learn, get involved, give of ourselves, and take an extra step to serve and love others in our communities, homes, and lives.

We create a community where youth can discover their human dignity, embrace their identity as Christians, and discern the journey God is calling them to in their mission to sainthood.
Rooted in the Oblate charism present in our parishes, our youth groups are places to encounter the love of Christ and build an authentic relationship with Him.

How we serve
Our Charism
“Oblate” means to offer oneself, or to give.
We give ourselves to our communities through the talents, skills, abilities, and interests God has given each of us. Every person carries an inimitable gift that only they can offer.
Through the Oblate charism, we invite youth to open their hearts and listen for where God is calling them to be His disciples.
Our founder
St. Eugene de Mazenod
A saint for the youth.

Born in France in 1782, St. Eugene left behind a comfortable life to serve the poor. His first years of priesthood were dedicated to youth ministry, and that passion shaped the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate.
